Mystery and history tours of Cumbria

by MotoGusto Editor

For Kevin Lear, there is no better excitement, passion or purpose in life than riding his motorbike and organising tours of Cumbria’s Lake District and the Eden Valley.

With touring restrictions abroad having played their part this year, many motorcyclists will take the opportunity to ride the roads of our pleasant land instead.

For those looking to head north to visit areas motorcyclists wouldn’t usually see in a day or two, Kevin organises affordable guided tours around Cumbria. Jump into the saddle to discover and explore stunning mountains standing proud after millions of years, creating the region’s rugged appearance flanked by stone walls presenting extraordinary views that will strike with awe.

Mystery Tours

Known for its glacial ribbon lakes and rugged fell mountains, Kevin will guide you on a spectacular ride of the Lake District to catch fascinating and majestic scenery on some outstanding roads most bikers are likely to miss. He accompanies the tour with stories that will leave you with an unforgettable day.

History Tours

Steeped in history, Kevin will lead you through Cumbria’s enchanting Eden Valley. Lying with the Pennines to the east and the Lake District to the west, it is a mix of rich green countryside, with traditional villages dating back to Viking times. You will discover fascinating stories along the way, including where, reputedly, King Arthur’s father once lived, and where a water well was poisoned, killing many people. Maybe the tales of Lady Anne Clifford will leave you digging for more.

Both tours include lunch and accommodate riders up to a group of six. Kevin can also assist with motorcycle hire.
