Emergency Services Day. 18th August 2022.

The regional emergency services will be available on the day, to discuss their operations and offer motorcyclists advice on improving their skills with the aim of raising the safety of all motorcyclists on our roads – ultimately in the hope of not ever needing the specific and life-saving skills of the many emergency services that help keep motorcyclists safe and save lives on a daily basis.

MotoGusto Editor, John Allsopp lends a hand…

Our very own Editor, John Allsop, is a lifelong and passionate advocate of promoting safer riding to increase the uptake of motorcycling throughout the UK. As such, John will be at the event, acting as the Regional Manager of Doc Bike to promote awareness of road safety for motorcyclists and raise funds for this important charity.

Be sure to check down the back of the sofa for those long-lost 50p and pound coins and open your bloody wallet for once and donate to this worthwhile cause!

DocBike MotoGusto

The DocBike charity combines a highly qualified (consultant level) doctor or critical care paramedic with two wheels to reduce deaths and serious injuries on our roads due to motorcycle collisions. Wherever possible, this doctor or paramedic also works on the local air ambulance. It is part of their everyday job, to treat and save the most severely injured and sick patients and help them to reach the hospital alive.

Also at the show will be Mental Health Motorbike – and MotoGusto team member ‘Minty’ will be there to represent this amazing registered charity.

Minty will be offering free face-to-face and online mental health first aid support charity for the biker community throughout the UK. They create meaningful and purposeful opportunities, for all bikers, to improve the well-being of the biker community through 1-to-1 and peer support, events, training activities and projects, working in partnership with other organisations and clubs.

Mental Health Motorbike exists to:

• Promote the wellbeing benefits of motorcycling

• Provide a network of support for bikers, by bikers

• Improve wellbeing within the motorcycling community
