MotoGirl: the world of ladies’ motorcycle clothing

by MotoGusto Editor

Tonbridge business duo, Ina Lombard-Ogilvie and Ellen Ogilvie of MotoGirl, are on the fast track to global domination in the competitive world of ladies’ motorcycle clothing.

Launched in 2016, MotoGirl was set up by Ina and Ellen fuelled by a shared passion for motorcycles. What started out as a small local business based at their shop in Kent, is now a global wholesale and online retail company, with over 100 retail stockists, across 14 countries and customers as far afield as Canada, South Africa and Australia.

The lack of comfortable, stylish and fashionable protective motorcycle clothing that women would wear was the reason the entrepeneurial duo decided to create, manufacture and distribute their own range of clothing, created for women, by women, utilising high-tech protective materials such as Kevlar,  but cut to flatter women of all shapes and sizes. Launching their Kevlar Leggings three years ago, they have since added to their growing catalogue of products with Kevlar Jackets and Jeans, Waterproofs, Casual Wear with plenty more to come.

Garments are also made available in a wide range of sizes, from 4-28, as well as catering for three different leg lengths to ensure MotoGirl customers get the perfect fit in all impact areas.

It’s not surprising that they have received such an overwhelming response since the number of female motorcyclists has dramatically increased, and is still on the up. Today 14% of motorcycle riders are female according to surveys, with an increase of over 50% in the last 10 years.

As for the future, it’s full speed ahead for MotoGirl, who are introducing new products, expanding its distribution network and online sales.

If you wish to buy online please head to www.motogirl.co.uk. The MotoGirl shop can be found next door to Fastlane Motorcycles in Priory Street, Tonbridge.
